| Dagmar (20.12.2013 11:27): "match! - with a cultural bridge to training success" (01/01/2012 - 31/12/2014) is a project funded by the European Social Fund and the Federal Office of Labour and Social Affairs. Background is the difficult situation in the hotel and restaurant business: Falling job applications, a high rate of apprenticeship break offs and incipient skills shortage on one side. On the other side young people, who are interested in hotel and restaurant business, but still cannot find a training place because of bad school grades and their social/personal behaviour. The project has the aim to develop, to test and to implement innovative methods of apprenticeship and thereby building a bridge between youth culture and business culture. The project puts together different lines of action: - Differentiated professional orientation in hotel and restaurant business for pupils and other interested young people - Consulting service for Hotels and Restaurants - Developing innovative forms of Apprenticeship, f. e. experiential training methods More informations about the project you can find under: www.bwk-match.de Within the project (Line of action: Developing innovative forms of Apprenticeship) four apprentices of the BWK (cook, restaurant and hotel business) will leave on 05/01/2014 for a four-week internship in Kufstein/Austria. The aim is, of course, to promote their professional skills, but all above to promote their social and personal skills (self-employment, sense of responsibility etc.) and to identify criteria, that support a successful training course. We look forward to tell you more about the ongoing of the project in January 2014. |
